My origins started in Menumbuk, Beaufort. My father is from Kuala Penyu, a Sino Kadazan and mum is from Kuala Penyu too. My parents were based in Menumbuk with my grandparents. So I am Sino Kadazan from Menumbuk but was born in Labuan because dad was then stationed in Labuan.
I am now Spa Proprietor, based in both in Labuan and Sabah. My master business is in Sabah because I am Sabahan so I belong to Sabah.
As to why I am a proud Sabahan, ‘I set up my business from zero basic. From scratch. I came up on my own my spa design, spa menu, product & so on. Most importantly I came up with the business concept of my spa in Sandakan and am so proud of it!’.

Environment:
Loads of fun to meet up with Sabahan friends in twitter and facebook at Ming Tien Foodcourt, SS24/8. We had Naan of all kind, seafood, noodles, rice and pizza. Gossiping and discussing Sabahs past, present and future makes the head reeling with info overload:)
Location:
Get to experience the choatic but safe for family foodcourt outdoor dining with a nite market next door, what one can ask for more? Its HEAVEN! First time for me and going there again. Hey! Didn’t get to explore the nite market coz after dinner is closing time:(
Anyways peeps! A great time spent knowing you all and hope to do it again in the future. Bigger, much bigger!!!
PS: Lesson learnt, Lets be exchanging handphone numbers first before the gathering:) It’s a big, big world out there!

My family are Suluk and we hail from Kampung Air Sri Jaya, Semporna Sabah.
Currently we take residence in Pasir Gudang, Johor, Malaysia since 1995.
I own a saloon here. I am also a volunteer with Persatuan Suluk Bersatu Sabah (PSBS).
Here we find that there are a lot of young Sabahans who are interested in the beauty industry and we are working towards a program to train and produce qualified Sabahans.
I am a ‘fabulous’ Sabahan because at every opportunity, we will promote our culture especially through costumes.
Whenever there is a cultural performance needed, I will make sure we wear full traditional gear to educate and promote our culture to the audience.
