My mum is pure Kadazan from Keningau, my father is from Tambunan. Dad’s father is English + Scottish and grandma is Javanese + Chinese. Our family is based in Kg Kobusak, Penampang.
Dad was from Singapore and moved to Sandakan when he was small so he is a Malaysian Permanent Resident. As for me, my birth certificate says I am Eurasian but if people ask, I tend to say that I am Sino Kadazan.
I have worked for 10 years with Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort, Tuaran, Sabah, unemployed for 3 years then work with Borneo International Marathon till my boss Andrew Voon passed away.For now I am on unpaid leave until the my late boss’ widow decide what to do with me:)
Yes! Borneo International Marathon should continue because it promotes sports tourism in Sabah. And yes I am a fabulous Sabahan!! hahaha… This is because I am surrounded with positive energy, starting with my beautiful family and friends from way back kindergarten years.
